Dentata

As a jewellery designer, the body plays a central role in everything I do. It is the arena in which my process takes plac and materializes. The mouth in particular intrigues me, it being the portal between the outside and the inside world. It can be erotic, intimate and sacred.

With over 10 years of experience in jewellery making and more than 5 year specializing in teeth jewellery, I am confident in my ability to craft your personal and desired item.

Silver teeth jewellery starts at €150 while the gold options begin at €350. Prices include consult, making of the mould and an aftercare product.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask me anything you would like to know about your dental jewellery items.

FAQ

How does it work?

It’s a two-step process. First, we’ll set up an appointmen to create a precise mould of your teeth. During this initial meeting, we’ll also talk over your ideas and preferences. Later, you’ll be notified to pick up your finished item. I highly recommend a pick up in person to fit, mak any necessary adjustments, and address any last questions. The entire creation process typically takes around four weeks.

How do we make a mould?

Every mouth is unique and achieving a perfect fit requires precision and care. To ensur optimal results, it’s important to have clean teeth, just like when you visit your dentist. The moulding procedure usually takes about 20 minutes, with the dental material hardening in just four minutes. All you have to do is bite down on a dental spoon. I use a extra-fast-hardening dental impression putty Once you’ve bitten down, your part is done, and I’ll notify you when your item is finished.

How does it feel?

Teeth jewellery is worn as a thin cover over your own teeth with a thickness of approximately 0.8 mm or less. A proper fit embraces your teeth comfortably. However items in the mout might initially feel a bit intrusive. Give yourself some time to get accustomed to wearing th jewellery, and soon you’ll be able to flaunt it with confidence.

What do I design?

Let your imagination run wild. Designs can be as bold or sophisticate as you are. During the consult we can sit down together and create a custom design discuss your ideas and doubts. Feel free to draw inspiration from previous creations.

Silver or gold?

While it is perfectly possible to create teeth jewellery from silver, I highly recommend gold for its superior longevity. Unlike silver, which may tarnish over time, gold will maintain its lustre. However, I’ll provide you with a small piece of polishin cloth to help you keep your piece shining no matter the material of choice.

How does it stay in place?

While some design may stay securely in place on your teeth wit a little saliva, using special dental adhesive will give a 100% secure fit.
This not only ensures a comfortabl experience but also provides a protective layer between your teeth and the metal and excludes any wiggle or friction. Wear them responsibly. These items are not intended for eating, sleeping, or grinding. Teeth jewellery is designed to make a statement, but it is not meant to be a permanent fixture.

How do I take care of my piece?

Simply rinse with warm water and brush clean with a toothbrush after each use. If needed (lipstick stains or greasy fingers ) you can use some hand dish soap. To keep it safe, you can store it in the provided small box or use your plaster mould as a stand. Besides the routine rinse you can give your piece an extra shine by using the polish cloth provided. Or get your repolished and cleaned by me for a small fee.

How do I pay?

Payment is required upfront during our initial meeting, cash or digital transfer. For payments exceeding €400, we can accommodate splitting the payment if that is your preference.
